Hi, I'm Jeff
and this is my Scleral.Life
I have Keratoconus (KC). I discovered sclerals contact lenses in 2013. They completely restored my vision. I absolutely love them.
I created this blog to share my experience navigating life in these custom hard lenses. I hope it creates awareness and helps others use sclerals to overcome challenging eye conditions.

Formula 1, Pit Stops, and Sclerals
What do Formula 1 races and daily Scleral.Life have in common? Pit Stops! What’s your strategy for stopping to refreshing your lenses during the day?
Have you tried every filling solution yet? You should.
I believe it’s worth trying all of the available Filling Solutions. Here’s why…
Hi, I’m Jeff Scleral and the author of this blog. I’m not a doctor, I’m a patient – but a well-researched and well-connected one.
I was diagnosed with the eye disease Keratoconus (KC) in 2007 at age 26. I spent the next six years seeing poorly until I discovered sclerals in 2013. These custom lenses restored my vision and my quality of life.
My goal is to give anyone wearing (or interested in) sclerals an approach to “Living your best Scleral.Life”
I really believe these lenses are tiny miracles but also very complicated! To reduce stress while staying safe you need two things: a) facts and b) a framework for making (good) decisions.
I get facts from top doctors and industry experts. I’ve developed the “‘scleral wisdom’ from my own personal experience.
I hope my writing helps.
